HarperLloyd Recruitment is partnering with a leading national law firm to appoint a Construction Lawyer (4+ PAE) into its established Brisbane Construction & Infrastructure practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for a construction lawyer looking to work on sophisticated disputes, take ownership of matters and build their career alongside highly regarded construction practitioners.

The role

Working closely with an experienced Construction & Infrastructure Partner, you'll advise clients across:

• Construction and infrastructure disputes
• Building and construction litigation
• Contractual and commercial disputes
• Construction contract drafting and negotiation
• Procurement and front-end advisory work
• Complex construction claims and dispute resolution

The practice is predominantly back-end focused, providing the opportunity to work on challenging disputes while maintaining exposure to front-end construction matters.

You'll have significant client contact and responsibility, managing matters with increasing autonomy while working as part of a genuinely collaborative and supportive team.

About you

You'll ideally have:

• 4+ years' PAE in Construction Law or a strong Litigation practice
• Experience across construction disputes, litigation or contentious matters
• Strong drafting, negotiation and analytical skills
• Sound technical ability and commercial judgement
• The confidence to manage matters autonomously and client relationships effectively
• A proactive, practical and collaborative approach

The team is flexible on seniority and will consider strong candidates from approximately 4 years PAE through to Senior Associate level.
